The article explores the impact of distant learning and digital technologies on educational process in theological education institutions, as well religious practices at organizations context quarantine restrictions COVID-19 pandemic Kazakhstan. research methodology consisted semi-structed interviews with organizers participants learning, clergy, focus group method, analysis resources. study included institutions representing Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism, their for believers. authors conclude that has accelerated digitalization religion Kazakhstan, sphere education. Based Heidi Campbell’s religious-social shaping approach to technology, claim reflection experience gained distance by its expresses coordinating application media order legitimize use Kazakhstani context. data reveals an ambiguous mainly negative attitude toward among respondents which lead spreading discourse about difficulties limits using new traditional pedagogy, teaching methods type authority. a format illustrated case course reading Qur’ also revealed application, since believers are looking not only knowledge, but psychological support spiritual guidance.
